A studio/artist visit with Brent Wadden.
I met artist Brent Wadden via artist/musician Dale Jimenez, a friend of mine from Philly. Brent has been living in Berlin over 5 (6?) years. Brent took me to different galleries and zine/art stores and even some urban exploration (see later blog post) in Berlin, introduced me to his friends, and I did a draw jams with him and a friend on my last night in Berlin. A draw jams seems like a very Philadelphia thing to do, am I wrong? A draw jam is what it sounds like: you draw, doodle, or make marks - passing papers around, using the marking device of your choice (usually in black and white), all whilst listening to questionable music. Our choice was backed by the chopped and screwed DJ Michael Watt version of Kanye West’s new album. Enough babble from me. Brent Wadden’s drawing is excellent. His works are in many zines and a bundle of exhibits a year. Here’s some photos of his studio and our drawing jam that night. And his website is here.

This photo was just for fun. Come on: socks. That looks like an art installation.
